The zoo is situated in the Krásné Březno district on the slope of the Mariánská Rock in an unconventionally hilly terrain.
Visitors can see over 1,300 animals representing more than 200 species. Ústí Zoo also participates in the worldwide rescue of rare and endangered species. Within the framework of many international rescue programmes, it has managed to breed a number of rare animal species. The zoo has many animal pavilions, animal models and various playgrounds for children, a contact point with domestic animal species "Country Yard" and "Dinosaur Nature Trail".
Visit the animals at the Ústí Zoo! Regular demonstrations await you: guided seal feeding and elephant training, pony rides, feeding lemurs and piranhas or a walk with elephants around the zoo. A popular means of transport is the train and three open carriages - the zoo train, which also takes visitors to the upper part of the zoo.
The zoo offers a number of unusual experiential programs, a choice of feeding a selected species of animal or a day as a zookeeper, all through an educational program.
