The old Přemyslid castle was the castle of Czech queens from the mid-13th century to the end of the 15th century. The Gothic period is commemorated by the Chapel of St. Ludmila.
In the middle of the 16th century the castle was transformed into a Renaissance chateau. The Baroque era is commemorated by galleries of Italian, Dutch and Czech masters. The interiors contain Lobkowicz family collections, such as a collection of maps of all 17th century European cities. The tour includes the chateau's wine cellars with a tasting of its own wines.
