The Hořín Lock

The lock was designed by František Sander and was put into operation in 1905. It overcomes a slope of 8.5 m, and is thus the highest lock in the Prague – Mělník section.

The Hořín Lock

The lock consists of two chambers and has become an official engineering monument. In 1996, a small hydroelectric power plant with an output of 30 kW was added.
