The ruins of the Blansko castle are located on a significant hill near Ryjice not far from Ústí nad Labem.
Today, the remains of a medieval castle, which was built at the end of the 14th century by the lords of Vartenberk, can be seen on the hill . The castle fulfilled its residential function until the end of the 16th century, as a result of the Thirty Years' War it was destroyed and gradually fell apart. To this day, relics of the perimeter walls of the palace, tower and bastion have been preserved , and are now listed as protected historical monuments.
The ruins of Blansko Castle are accessible from several places. Follow the yellow tourist rout from the village of Blansko, the green tourist rout from Mirkov or from Ryjice, from where both colors go together.
