The lookout tower was built in 1934 on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the "Podřipské Peasant Credit Union". Roudnice could thus boast a nice view and a quality architectural work. It is named after the founder of the credit union, Václav Kratochvíl.
The building is held up by a concrete structure with a circular plan up to 13 m high. The tower is dedicated to Václav Kratochvíl, as evidenced by the granite slab at the base. The tower was reconstructed in 2004.
