Above the town of Ústí nad Labem there is a lookout tower called Erben's Lookout on Brandt's Height.
Erbenova vyhlídka (Erben's Lookout) is a 420-metre high peak on the ridge of Brandt's Heights, situated north of Ústí nad Labem, on which stands a 15-metre high stone lookout tower. It is named after the chairman of the tourist club Alexander Erben, at whose instigation it was built in 1933.
You can take the route from the centre of Ústí nad Labem through the Bertino Valley. On the route of about 3 km leading along the yellow trail from the city centre to the Erbenova vyhlídka lookout tower, you will pass through the quiet Berta Valley along the nature trail. The Bertino valley runs along the Stříbrnický brook from the centre of Ústí nad Labem, from the Důlce district, to Stříbrníky. The place is named after Berta Schaffner, the wife of the manufacturer Schaffner - the former director of the Association for Chemical and Metallurgical Production.
You will see artificial waterfalls, gazebos and resting benches that were built here in the 19th century. You will walk along a short nature trail that introduces visitors to the fauna, flora and geological history of the site.
